For US salons, barbershops and spas
Juno is an AI front desk. She answers, then works your book by your rules: who does what, how long it really takes, and who sees the colourist first. This is a made-up salon's Thursday. Pick up the phone.
Or ring +1 (646) 212-0980. Our own AI receptionist answers it, for our business, not a salon.

JunoI'm Juno, an AI. I run the front desk at Sample Street Salon, a made-up salon in Austin. Ring in as a client and I'll work the book on this page, or ask what I'd do in your salon.
Juno is an AI. To talk out loud, and press Call. Nothing is recorded and nothing is really booked.
Why there is nobody to pick up
$18.27an hour is the median US receptionist wage, $38,010 a year.
A desk covering Tuesday to Saturday, nine to six, is 45 hours: 45 × $18.27 = $822.15 a week before payroll taxes. That is a wage, not a saving we promise. A four-chair salon that cannot carry it answers its own phone.

What Juno books, moves or cancels for you shows here, outlined in gold. She only offers a time that fits the whole service with someone who does it, and never one that strands fifteen minutes beside it.
11:20 AM · 02 · The wrong slot
A new client books partial highlights online. She has box black on her ends and wants to be blonde. That is a correction, and your afternoon is gone.
What Juno asks Kim
JunoWhat is on your hair now? Any box dye or henna?
KimBox black. I did it myself in the spring.
JunoHow long is it, and what are you hoping for?
KimPast my shoulders. Icy blonde.
JunoHave you been in to see us before?
KimNo, first time. My friend goes to Nadia.
Box black to icy blonde is a correction, and she is new. Juno books no colour at all: a free consultation with Nadia, her answers on the ticket, and the patch test done at that visit under the salon's own policy.
A person still: Nadia decides what is achievable, how many visits, and what it costs. Juno never says.

Made-up callers
Dashed is the 150 minutes each of them would have picked for herself online. Filled is what Juno booked. Hatched is processing time. Prices are Nadia's made-up list.
Juno asks about the hair, never about the skin. Whether a scalp has reacted before, and what that means, is Nadia's conversation at the consultation, where this salon's policy puts the patch test. Most hair dyes are what the FDA calls coal-tar hair dyes, and federal law has their labels carry this caution: “This product contains ingredients which may cause skin irritation on certain individuals and a preliminary test according to accompanying directions should first be made.”

Drafted by Juno for Priya S. · you send it
Hi Priya, it's Sample Street Salon. Nadia has had a 1:30 PM open up today, and it fits your root touch-up. Want it? Reply YES and it's yours, and I'll release your other time. Reply STOP to opt out of texts.
Nothing is sent. The reply is scripted.
Why you press send, and why Alma gets no text. The federal rule on marketing texts sent with an autodialer asks for “the prior express written consent of the called party”. Texas, where this made-up salon sits, has its own telephone solicitation statute, which SB 140 extended to text messages in 2025. We did not check other states. Your attorney decides what your consent wording covers, not Juno and not us.

Jenna P. Complaint · wants her money back
“I was in last week and my colour came out brassy and patchy. I want my money back.”
Juno decided nothing and promised nothing: no refund, no redo. She wrote it down, said Nadia would ring, and found the time below.
It goes from the salon's own number once you approve it. Juno never sends it herself.
Kim R. Correction quote · box black to icy blonde
“Can I book highlights for Saturday? I want to go blonde.”
Juno booked no colour. Free consultation with you tomorrow, her answers on the ticket: box black since spring, past her shoulders, wants icy blonde, first visit.
Rosa V., 4:20 PM Reaction question · refused in code
“My scalp has been burning since yesterday's highlights. Is that normal?”
Juno did not answer it. She said a doctor or a pharmacist today, 911 for swelling or trouble breathing, and that you would hear about it. Her number is on the message. Ring her tonight. Do not text.
Counts from the made-up Thursday. They describe a sample day, not a result anybody is promised.
Any hour · 05 · The refusals
A front desk gets asked whether a burning scalp is normal, whether colour is safe in pregnancy, how long to leave bleach on at home, and whether a husband is booked in. The answers below are fixed in code ahead of the AI.
Juno · from code, before the AI is asked
I'm an AI, so I can't tell you what a reaction means or what to do about it. That is for a doctor or a pharmacist, today if it is getting worse, and 911 if there is any swelling of the face or trouble breathing. Nadia, who owns the salon, needs to hear about it too: say what happened and when, and it goes to her as a message in your own words.
Type any of these to her, in section 01 or in the corner, in your own words. The patterns are written the way a client would say it, not the way a policy would, and every one is tested both ways on each build: what must be refused, and what must not be, such as “Do you do patch tests?”, which is a policy question she answers.

A lot of what gets sold to salons as new is already in the system you pay for each month. Check its settings before you pay anyone for the left column. Juno still answers calls, books appointments, and handles reschedules, 24/7.
Usually already in your booking software
What Juno adds beside it
Whether Juno can write into your book depends on what your platform lets an outside system do. We check that before anything is built. Where it cannot, she takes the booking as a message and your desk confirms it.
What it would cost you
No setup fee, no contract and no minimum term. It renews monthly until you stop it, you cancel by email without getting on a call, and it runs to the end of the period you have paid for. Your domain and your content come with you.
The open-chair list and the close-out slip depend on what your booking software lets us read, so they are scoped on a call and quoted, never guessed at here. Every plan and what is inside it.

You would keep all of it. Those cover the client who books herself. Juno answers the one who rings, books the appointment, and handles the change, 24/7, including the caller who had a question first: which stylist, how long, how much, can you fit me in today.
It depends on what your system lets an outside program do, and we check that before anything is built. Where it connects, Juno reads real openings and books straight in. Where it does not, the call reaches your desk as a message with the service, the stylist and the times asked for, and a person confirms it.
Whether a reaction is normal, whether a client needs a patch test, whether a product is safe in pregnancy or with a medication, how to bleach at home, who else is booked, and anything legal. Those refusals are written in code ahead of the AI, so they hold on its worst day. Federal law has most hair dye labels carry a caution about skin irritation and a preliminary test. That question belongs to the colourist and a doctor.

No. It gives your list prices and says which ones are starting prices. Going much lighter, or colour over box dye or henna, goes to a consultation with your colourist, with the client's answers already on the ticket.
You do. Juno ranks who fits and drafts the message. You press send, and only clients whose record says they agreed to texts get one. The federal rule asks for written consent before marketing texts, and Texas has its own statute. We did not check other states, so ask your attorney about yours.
